I have spent 27 years inside Oracle E-Business Suite Financials — as a former Oracle employee, as a functional and technical lead on more than 35 implementations, and for six years at Rimini Street, where I supported Oracle EBS for Fortune 500 clients across versions 10.7, 11i, R12.1.3 and R12.2.4.

That last part matters more than the rest. Third-party support means writing your own fixes for software the vendor no longer patches — diagnosing a defect, developing the correction, testing it, and standing behind it without Oracle's patch to lean on. I did that professionally for six years. It is the specific skill an organization needs the day Oracle stops issuing updates for their release.

Before that I supported Oracle EBS Financials for the United States Air Force on an 11i and 12.0.6 RAC environment, and I currently work on Oracle financial systems for a federal program at Gunter Annex. I've led implementations and upgrades in utilities and energy, industrial manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceuticals, telecom, higher education and government — in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

I hold a BA in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Alabama State University. I work through William Delaney Consulting, Inc., based in Montgomery, Alabama.
